About

What Calendar Planner is

A SharePoint Framework web part that reads the date columns in your existing SharePoint lists and renders them across six different time-shaped views: Year, Month, Week, Grid, Timeline, and Gantt. The lists stay where they are, the calendars get authored, and the view reflects the data as soon as anyone changes it.

The product was kept small on purpose. There is no parallel data store, no methodology to subscribe to, and no migration when you remove it. What sits inside the scope (configuration, four Microsoft 365 surfaces, accessibility, overlay across lists) is taken seriously, and the boundary around it is the reason the product is still simple to use after five years of customer feedback.

Why a separate Calendar Planner site?

Calendar Planner started as internal client work: a SharePoint web part built repeatedly for different organisations because nothing on the market quite fit. As it matured into a product on its own merits, it earned its own dedicated home.

This site is the canonical place to learn about Calendar Planner, install it, configure it, and stay up to date with releases. For everything else JFDI does (consultancy, low-code platforms, other web parts, our wider services), visit jfdi.info.
